Four years ago almost to the day (it was October 9, 2020), the album 13 Organisé was released, certified double platinum, bringing together 50 Marseille rappers, stars, established, emerging and from different generations. Two months earlier, this project initiated by Jul had been announced by the single Organized Band, which shattered audience records.
Now a five-time diamond single, it is the fastest certified diamond title in the history of French music. His clip (and its currently more than 500 million views) reached one million in just twelve hours on You Tube. And the punchlines”It’s Marseille baby“, “It’s like zumba coffee” have become cult replicas.
Jul leads the game
Enough to launch the careers of many rappers, to extend the history of hip-hop with Marseille and to confirm the position of boss of French rap for Jul, the only artist to have succeeded in carrying out such a project.
Especially since he had found a sequel with the Classico organized published in 2021 and bringing together, on the lawn, 157 rappers from Marseille and Paris. Impossible to name all the players: Niro, Kofs, Lacrim, SCH, Alonzo, Gims, Naps, Rohff, Kaaris, Soso Maness, Le Rat Luciano, PLK, Vegedream… This triple album has been certified double platinum. And once again demonstrated that it is definitely Jul who is leading the game.
Since then, the UFO seemed to have focused on his solo career and his concert in 2022 at the Orange Vélodrome, which he will return to on May 24, 2025, in addition to tackling the Stade de France on April 26, 2025. Two sold out events as soon as the ticket office opens. However, he found the time to reconstitute, in secret, the team of 13 Organisé, and even to increase it, to release, today, a second volume.
13 Organisé 2 brings together 150 rappers from Marseille, including SCH, Soso Maness, Alonzo, Kofs, Naps, Elams, L’Algérino, Sat L’Artificier, Le Rat Luciano, Soprano, Vincenzo, DJ Djel, Akhenaton, Shurik’n , Solda, Houari, Zamdane, TK, So La Zone, Missan… It contains twenty-six titles, in addition to a freestyle.
As for the cover, it uses the colors of the city and the Olympique de Marseille, like the jerseys worn by the artists in the clip for Bande Organisée 2, a title released to everyone’s surprise on August 15, 2024, exactly hair four years after the first attempt transformed into a phenomenon.
Also appearing on the t-shirts of the band’s rappers are the logos of local brands and companies such as Jacquemus, the CMA CGM Foundation, Le Temps des Cerises, Jott, Kaporal, Shark, La boucherie Les Coquières and even Z5, for “un new album 100% Marseille“, we can read in the post of Jul 13 Organisé 2 has been available for listening on the platforms since this Friday midnight.
