BIGHIT gives news of its legal actions to protect BTS – K-GEN

BIGHIT shared an update regarding its legal actions to protect BTS.

Regularly, the group’s agency provides fans with updates regarding its legal actions to protect BTS members. On September 30, the agency then announced:

« Bonjour.
This is BIGHIT MUSIC.

Our company regularly pursues legal action against perpetrators of malicious activity targeting BTS, including defamation, personal attacks, sexual harassment, spreading baseless information, and malicious criticism. We would like to take stock of these ongoing actions.

This quarter, we continued to collect evidence of numerous malicious messages uploaded to various online forums, including Ilgan Best, DC Inside, theqoo, FMKorea, and instiz, through fan reports and internal monitoring. We have filed complaints with the relevant investigative authorities regarding these materials.

As noted in our previous notice, the first trial for damages suffered by Taldeok Camp’s defamation and other illegal activities has begun, and follow-up proceedings are being diligently pursued. Additionally, we are actively coordinating with law enforcement and government agencies to ensure that individuals who have illegally acquired and disseminated artists’ personal information are appropriately punished.

Some people who were the subject of previous complaints, transmitted to the prosecution for defamation and personal attacks, were sentenced to fines. These individuals were identified as users of online forums such as NAVER, Ilgan Best, Nate Pann and FMKorea. Some of them had repeatedly posted malicious content over a prolonged period and were fined the maximum amount for each charge. We also await the results of recent prosecutions of other suspects referred to the prosecution following police investigations, and we remain committed to ensuring that they are severely punished.

We will continue to collect, report, and prosecute malicious messages targeting BTS members, who are currently serving their mandatory military service. Our legal efforts will continue throughout this period and we will take firm action against the culprits. Under no circumstances will there be any leniency or out-of-court settlement.

Finally, as mentioned in a previous review, BIGHIT MUSIC has revamped the email hotline to: “HYBE Artist Rights Infringement System” (protect.hybecorp.com) to provide faster and more effective responses to reports . We ask that you please report any violations of artists’ rights via this new web page rather than via the old hotline.

We sincerely appreciate the unwavering support and dedication of BTS fans.
BIGHIT MUSIC will remain dedicated to protecting the rights of our artists.

Merci. »
