Kim Wilde back in XXL mode

Kim Wilde Fears Alien Abduction

His first three albums, Kim Wilde, Select And Catch as Catch Can have recently been reissued. The titles have been remastered and many tracks added. Unreleased tracks, alternative versions and for each disc, a DVD with live or television footage.

The sequel arrives next Friday, in gargantuan mode, on the Cherry Red Records label. It consists of three records released in the 90s. Love Movesoriginally released in 1990, comes in a box set containing two CDs and a DVD. Same principle as for the previously mentioned reissues except that there are no previously unreleased tracks. On the other hand, we are entitled to plenty of extended versions – understand lengthened and often remixed -, a concept very popular in the 80s and 90s.

Kim Wilde: “Singing is just a hobby now”

The reissue of Love Isreleased in 1992, is even more copious with three CDs and a DVD. It contains a cascade of remixes and other alternative versions. But also the promo videos of the singles and the making-of which will immerse you in the heart of the British singer’s creation.

The menu is the same for Now and Foreveror three CDs and a DVD packed full of them.

A new album is coming

While these records don’t contain Kim Wilde’s greatest hits, they do allow you to discover or rediscover other aspects of her career that continues today. Her last album dates back to 2018, but a new one is on the way. Proof of this is the release last month of the single “Trail of Destruction.”

It is expected on January 31 and will be titled Closer. It will be the fifteenth in the pop star’s discography.

Several concert dates have also been announced for 2025. There are four in Belgium: Borgerhout on October 17, Leuven on October 27 and 28 and Bruges on the 29th.
