It is imminent! After several rumors and a lot of waiting, Municipality is preparing to make his comeback with a new album in 2025. This time, it is no longer a simple supposition: the rapper, who is in clash with Booba, has confirmed that his project will see the light of day during the first trimester of the year. An announcement that is already delighting fans, curious to discover what one of the most intriguing artists on the French rap scene has in store for them.
After the release of his album “V” and its reissue “VV5” in 2022, Vald experienced a mixed reception. Far from the unanimous success of cult albums like “Sued” or “XEU”these projects did not convince all of his listeners. However, Vald has never stopped being a major figure on the scene!
“We have a good sauce”
In a recent interview, Municipality lifted the veil on the identity of this new album. And good news: he promises a project even rap. Indeed, he declares:
“I think we have a good sauce, it’s rap, it’s sure it’s rap. Do you see the albums that others make, like 2/3 rap songs and 10 jokes? We’re the opposite, 10 rap songs and 2/3 jokes.”
Strong words which confirm Vald’s desire to return to his fundamentals and offer a solid, authentic project, dedicated to purists of the genre.
What to expect from this new opus? Difficult to say at the moment, but the promises are tempting. With this declaration, Vald seems to want to reconnect with what made his initial success: incisive lyrics, raw energy, and careful production.
