The actor Niels is no longer the only member of the Franco-Quebec Schneider family to make the French fall for it.
His little brother Alyocha has collected three nominations for the Victoires de la Musique awards, the French equivalent of our ADISQ gala, which will take place on February 14.
The 31-year-old singer-songwriter was notably cited in the Original Song category, where his success Ensemble will be competing against pieces by Pierre Garnier, Santa, Solann and Clara Luciani.
Alyocha Schneider is also in the running for the Male Revelation and Stage Revelation Victories.
-It is the pop artist Santa who is the most cited, with four nominations. The singers Clara Luciani and Solann as well as the group Justice have, like Alyocha Schneider, amassed three nominations.
Charlotte Cardin’s spouse is the first Quebec artist nominated for the Victoires since Céline Dion was a finalist in the Female Artist of the Year category, 2013.
The last victory won by Quebec dates back to 2010 when Like childrenfrom Cœur de pirate, was voted Original Song of the Year.
