The 40th edition of the Victoires de la Musique will take place on February 14 at the Seine Musicale.
Santa, Alyocha Schneider, Justice, Solann and Pierre Garnier are among the big favorites.

Will she do as well as Zaho de Sagazan and his four victories last year? Santa is one of the big favorites of the 40th edition of the Victoires de la Musique which will be held on February 14 at the Seine Musicale. The singer, whose hit “Start Me Again” was chosen as the anthem of the “Star Academy” this year, is nominated in the album, original song, concert and female artist of the year categories. In the latter, she will face Clara Luciani (who also competes for the album and the original song of the year with “Tout pour moi”), Zaho de Sagazan and Yseult, whose career took off in the United States.
Pierre Garnier continues his rise
The electro duo Justice, cited in three categories (male artist, album and audiovisual creation) is also one of the names that will be scrutinized for this edition. On the rap side, the singer Gims appears in the male artist category, just like another heavyweight, Tiakola, also nominated in the album category with her “BDLM”, as well as Shay, nominated for her sensational concert “Acte III”.
The winner of the last edition of the “Star Ac”, Pierre Garnier, continues his good momentum with two nominations (male revelation and original song with “Ceux qu’on été”), just like Alyocha Schneider and Solann who both won three nominations, notably in the male revelation and female revelation categories.
A victory of honor for Eddy Mitchell
More unusual, Paris-2024 was selected in the concert category for “the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games”last summer’s soundtrack concocted by its musical director, Victor Le Masne. “Local production is always incredible, vibrant, diverse“, underlined Vincent Frèrebeau, president of the Victoires de la Musique. The boss of the independent label Tôt ou Tard took over the reins of the Victoires and made changes during the 2024 edition to restore the image of a ceremony subject to criticism from between ourselves and lack of diversity.
A Victory of Honor will also be awarded to Eddy Mitchell, who has just released his 40th solo album. After Zazie, it is Alain Souchon, another figure of French song who has won multiple awards in particular thanks to his hit “Foule sentimentale”, who will chair the ceremony.
