HIBAPRESS-RABAT
Speaking at the opening of the 44th edition of the “Islamic Cultural Days”, organized by the Tijane Coordination of Dakar, under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, Minister of Habous and Islamic Affairs Ahmed Toufiq affirmed that the Tariqa Tijaniya contributed to the enrichment of religious and spiritual communication relations between Morocco and African countries, in particular with the Republic of Senegal
It is therefore obvious that the Tariqa Tijaniya has always played a historical role in strengthening relations of religious and spiritual communication between Morocco and Africa.
The Tariqa Tijaniya has forever been able to promote the values of peace, tolerance and cohabitation between peoples but is also a symbol of attachment to the precepts of sharia and the sunnah of the prophet, and to the foundations of spiritual purification.
Let us recall that Cheikh Sidi Ahmed Tijani, founder of Tariqa (1735-1815), is the founding sheikh of the Sufi tariqa At Tijaniyyah and was an Asharite theologian and an eminent Malikite jurist. He was born in the Saharan village of Aïn Madhi in 1150 AH and died in Fez on the morning of Thursday Shawwal 17, 1230 AH, at the age of 80. His mausoleum located in the city of Fez, continually remains a permanent place of visit for followers of the brotherhood from all countries of the world.
