Finalist of the 15th edition of the show La France a Un Incroyable Talent, Lisa Dann is releasing today her 5th single called “Dernier Tour”.
Sound No. 1 – Lisa Dann releases her new single ''Dernier Tour'', a song to get over a breakup
Lisa Dann – singer from Sarreguemines
Before talking about this new song, how do you view your new life since 2020? Has much changed?
It's true that a lot has happened, when I started, I was only 16, so I grew up a little with you. I opened for Christophe Maé, I released lots of singles, I did shows like Vivement Dimanche with Michel Drucker… I experienced moments that a 16 year old girl should not experience, so I'm very lucky and very aware of that. I hope it will last a long time, I am very happy with it because I have always dreamed of being a singer.
You also did cinema…
I always wanted to know the world of cinema. After the show La France a Un Incroyable Talent, I had an agency that contacted me to be an actress. It's true that at the beginning I didn't know anything about it, I hadn't studied it, but I wanted to try, I learned on the job and then there was a casting that turned out to be positive. I acted in a Christmas movie called “The Christmas Challenge”.
Your latest single “Be Strong” addresses the difficult subject of bullying. You also go around schools to talk about it. What feedback have you been able to get from young people?
I wanted to help in my own way, through a text, a melody, to help young people who suffer from it, or even those who are not so young. And it doesn't just concern school, bullying can be everywhere, for example, sport. So, I wanted to help, I told myself to tour the schools, go directly to meet the children, it was the best solution. There, I've been touring for 6-7 months, I went as far as Brittany, I obviously went here to Sarreguemines, that was the case again last week, and I love these moments. Children have no filter, so these are always very intense moments, sometimes there are hard words to hear, there are stories… So there are things to do. I really come as a friend, like a big sister, a person they can confide in. These are moments that we don't forget.
You are releasing “Dernier Tour” today. What is this song about?
This song talks about a love story that ends, about one last turn. I wanted to retrace what a story is, a breakup, and in this story, we understand what mourning is. There are 3 stages: first there is anger, we don't understand, we always blame the other. Afterwards, there is sadness, because we realize that it is really over and that we will no longer see the person, and then, there is nostalgia and acceptance. This is the most important phase to move on. With nostalgia, we only keep the good, and we tell ourselves that it's better this way. I think this song can speak to a lot of people, everyone has been there, so I hope it can help them turn the page. But turning the page does not mean the end of something, but the beginning of something else.
You invited your fans to choose a cover that will appear on your first album. The choice is made? When will this album be released?
Yes I announced it on my social networks. I launched a concept of doing a cover every Sunday, and the idea was that my subscribers would choose the song they liked best and it would appear on my album. When I go to record it, they will be able to choose the arrangements, the melodies with me, and it will become our own cover. The song will be “Bravo, you won” by Mireille Mathieu. The album will arrive in 2025, finally. It's ready, it's been finished for some time, but it's true that we're waiting for the best moment to introduce it to you.
This album will be a bit special because it will be made up of two CDs, that is to say there will be a CD with covers, notably “Voyage, Voyage”, with a version which is not on the platforms. For the other CD, there will be compositions with “Dernier Tour”, “Be Strong”, and exclusives that you have never heard.
