Roch Voisine continues to inspire and touch generations of fans, proving that he remains a cult singer and a living legend in the French-speaking world.

Unfortunately, during an interview with Closer, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with Strep A, which seriously affected his hearing.

The singer, aged 61, confided: “The eardrum was pierced, the pain was severe, I could no longer hear anything. Antibiotic treatment for a month and a half did not work. An operation was necessary. »

As he explained, surgery proved essential to try to improve his condition: “The doctors discovered a complication and had to intervene in the skull. A heavy intervention. I have not recovered my hearing 100%. There is little chance that I will ever find her again. »

He will therefore have to learn to live with reduced hearing, which is highly disturbing, especially for an artist who makes his living from his music.

On a happier note, he who is generally discreet about his married life, opened up about his new romantic relationship.

The popular singer mentions that his new companion is called Marie-Ève Racine, that she does not have a job in the artistic sector. She works as an accountant.

We were able to see them on the red carpet of the ADISQ gala and they are honestly magnificent together!
