Camille Lellouche: “I had a year of blank page syndrome”

My brain was strongly connected to his. It was my top priority at that time and that’s okay. I didn’t think I could bond as strongly with this little being as I’ve wanted for years. Giving everything for my child took away my creativity for a while. But if I had to do it again, I would do it. After that, you have to create very strong and intense things in your art“, explained Camille Lellouche in the columns of
Provence.

I wasn’t very happy at that time and before embarking on this new record, I had a year of blank page syndrome. (…) I have readjusted: I agree to be happy today, and above all to sing things that are not linked to suffering“, she also clarified. The singer rarely mentions her daughter’s father “out of modesty”

There is a reference to my daughter in his lyrics, but it came naturally. It’s not something we work on in my opinion. I think that all my life I will sing about love. But anyway, what else can we sing about. Knowing that even in hatred, in sadness, there is love? And yet, we always want to make us believe the opposite, it’s exhausting“, indicated Camille Lellouche.

In another interview given to 7 Days . The singer notably clarified that it was in fact a “personal song about loneliness“. “Many of us wonder if, one day, love will fall (again) for us. I was lucky, that’s what happened to me“, then added Camille Lellouche, before mentioning her companion. “I don’t talk about him much out of modesty. But so much is said about men at the moment that it is important to remember that some are kind and respectful.“, underlined the actress in particular.
