Nagui broke down in tears on the Taratata show. He was then able to count on the comfort of Thomas Dutronc!
It has been several years now since Nagui became an iconic presenter. And the least we can say is that he knows the world of television like the back of his hand. But from time to time, emotion overwhelms him and he can't help but collapse.
Nagui receives Thomas Dutronc in Taratata
Nagui is an emblematic personality of the small screen. With his outspokenness, his joie de vivre and his temperament, he never misses an opportunity to entertain the public. He does not hesitate to display his painting nature in his broadcasts.
Indeed, very often, he opens up about his emotions and very often touches viewers. This is particularly the case this Friday, December 6. Mélanie Page's companion was present in the show 587 of Taratata on France 2.
He then received Victor Ray, James Blunt, Yseult, Eddy Mitchell, Carla Bruni, but also Thomas Dutronc. The latter also sang “Les Petits Happinesses”. It’s a title that comes from his album “It’s Never Too Late”.
During the evening, Thomas Dutronc also sang in the Nagui show “There is no happy love” by Georges Brassens with Emma Peters. It’s a piece that was really close to his heart. And for good reason, he sang it in homage to his mother Françoise Hardy.
“I’m not going to make it…”
As a reminder, the latter lost her life in June. And it was in 1967 that she also changed this title. Following this tribute, Nagui made a very specific request to the singer: “Do you mind, Thomas, if I read you a text? And you tell me what you think ? ».
To which the main person responded: «Vas-y». Nagui then read: “Even if I have to let go of your hand, without being able to say see you tomorrow, nothing will ever break our bonds”.
“Even if I have to go further, cut ties, change trains, love is stronger than sorrow. The love that makes our hearts beat will sublimate this pain… Transform… The bridge into gold…”he revealed.
Before admitting, totally upset: “You know what? I’m not going to make it…”. It is a very moving text that Françoise Hardy wrote for her son, Thomas Dutronc. And Nagui, in tears, did not succeed in hiding his emotion.
Very touched by this attention, Thomas Dutronc did not hesitate to take the host in his arms. Faced with this outpouring of kindness, Nagui continued reading: “In the time that binds heaven and earth, The most beautiful of mysteries is hidden, Think about it when you fall asleep: love is stronger than death”.
” I'm sorry “
“I’m sorry, I thought I could do it, but I couldn’t.”finally concluded the host, still upset. Thomas Dutronc preferred to display a smile on his face. Very moved, he preferred not to express himself. On the other hand, his smile was worth 1000 words.
This is not the first time that Nagui has spoken openly. In an interview with La Tribune du Dimanche, the latter spoke about a dark period he had experienced: “It’s the start of four dark years”.
“My mother disappears six months after my arrival at Canal+ and ten days later Alain De Greef calls me to tell me that I will not be sent back to school. At least, this hard blow will have been sparedbecause she always feared that I would be fired after one season on TV »he revealed.
“I was riding my motorbike on the ring road and I said to myself: 'It would be so much easier if I had an accident.' underlined Nagui. Before admitting that “fear, cowardice” had finally saved him.
