If she refuses to talk about her loves – while the rumor says she is separated from Barry Keoghan, Sabrina Carpenter does not hide her friendship for Joey King, whom she presents as her twin sister, as the two artists adore and know each other since childhood. After her summer hit “Expresso”, the 25-year-old singer arrives on Netflix with the broadcast, from December 6, 2024, of “A Nonsense Christmas”, a show that she specially filmed for the end-of-year holidays. ‘year.
What was your motivation for this Christmas program?
The holiday season has always been a very special time for me. I remember, since my childhood, loving watching variety shows on television specially made for Christmas. This is why I accepted Netflix’s offer and I hope that my fans will enjoy this program full of love, music and comedy, in this unique, very festive, end-of-year atmosphere.
“A Nonsense Christmas” features star-studded duets and guest appearances from several celebrities close to you. For what?
I couldn’t imagine being on this variety show by myself. It was important for me to surround myself with people I love or admire on this show, especially when performing classic Christmas songs.
-The only thing missing from your show is the one you often called your wife, the actress Joey King…
Joey and I have a long friendship story that started when we were kids. Our schedules prevent us from seeing each other as often as we would like, but we never miss an opportunity to encourage each other when possible. I was in Los Angeles for the premiere of his recent mini-series “On the Wings of Chance” (available on Disney+) and I surprised him by participating in it. She also came to see me during my tour across North America. Our common dream would be to receive a comedy proposal based around two friends so that we could be together at the cinema. We are sending the message to all the screenwriters and producers who have an idea to submit to us.
As the end of the year approaches, what can we wish you for 2025?
My wish is to find my fans in Europe, because I am going to undertake a tour of several months on the other side of the Atlantic to find those who love my songs and have supported me for a long time (Editor’s note: she will be in concert at Zurich, March 27, 2025, at the Hallenstadion).
