Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has officially begun work on the band's new album, hinting at another exciting milestone in their long musical career.
A new chapter in preparation
Dave Mustaine recently shared with members of the Cyber Army, the Megadeth fan club, that he will spend the next six months in the studio with producer Chris Rakestraw to write and record the successor album to The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! (2022). The other band members, James LoMenzo (bass), Dirk Verbeuren (drums) and Teemu Mäntysaari (guitar), are currently sending their ideas from home before joining Mustaine in the studio.
Chris Rakestraw, already responsible for the group's last two albums, will once again produce this highly anticipated project.

Strengthened creative collaboration
Teemu Mäntysaari, who joined Megadeth in 2023 to replace Kiko Loureiro, is actively contributing to the writing of the new album. Mustaine recently expressed his enthusiasm for the group's current dynamic and the ideas each member brings to the creative process.
Mustaine also highlighted how Mäntysaari recalls Marty Friedman's time in the band, evoking a similar (musical) chemistry.
