Patrick Fiori wants to give a second chance to his latest album “Le chant est libre”. On December 6, the 55-year-old Corsican artist will release a reissue of this record, which has already sold more than 40,000 copies. On the program: new versions of the songs “Le chant est libre” and “Tout commence de jour” recorded with the Choeur du Sud, as well as two unreleased songs: “L’agréable useless”, with lyrics written by the winner of a competition organized by Crédit Mutuel and Riffx, as well as “The glory of our fathers”. “ I am very happy with this album and the moment when it arrives too, because I know it well, I have pampered it and it brings me a certain personal satisfaction. » smiles Patrick Flowers in an interview with Purecharts, he who called on numerous artists including Ycare who wrote six songs on the album: “ I knew the man but afterwards, it’s not the same when you have an idea in your head and you want to work with someone. “There is not a country without stains on the flag”
A new name is added to the very busy list of collaborators on this album: it’s that of Vianney! Indeed, the musician puts his talent to the benefit of Patrick Flowers for the first time. He signed the title “The glory of our fathers”, from the reissue but unveiled this Friday on streaming platforms. With this sunny piece, which he has already been performing on stage for a few days, Patrick Flowers celebrates family but also French values, and aims to be humanist: “ There is not a country without stains on the flag / But it sticks to my skin / Because she is my mother, she is my land / She is the glory of our fathers / My natural hemisphere / And she me comes back, holds us back / She is where I come from / Even if everything fades away / She is never far away “. Note that it is Catherine Bureau-Robert, Vianney’s wife, who plays the cello on this song!
In parallel, the agenda of Patrick Flowers is extremely busy. After the release of this reissue, the emblematic coach of “The Voice Kids” will resume his tour which will notably stop at the Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, on the outskirts of Paris, on May 7, 2025. The singer also told us to prepare “Corsu Mezu Mezu 3” which will give rise to a gigantic concert at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille in 2026.
