Franz Ferdinand announces three new summer dates for 2025, adding them to the already announced and sold-out concert on February 20 at the Fabrique in Milan.
The dates are August 28 in Romano D’Ezzelino, August 29 in San Mauro Pascoli and August 30 in Rome:
These nominations are part of the promotion of their new album “The Human Fear”, released on January 10, 2025 via Domino.
Night or day is the final song on the album and is accompanied by an evocative and imaginative black and white video, directed by Rianne White.
The album, produced with Mark Ralph, already alongside the group for Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action (2013), represents a new evolution of their sound: lively, energetic and with a marked pop orientation, faithful to their stylistic signature .
Recorded at AYR Studios in Scotland, The Human Fear consists of 11 songs which explore the theme of our deepest fears and how they affect our lives. It is the first studio album with new members Audrey Tait and Dino Bardot, while Julian Corrie collaborated with Alex Kapranos and Bob Hardy on both songwriting and creative production.
Since their beginnings in Glasgow’s illegal parties, Franz Ferdinand has continued to prove themselves innovative and forward-thinking, with The Human Fear marking a new stage in their musical and creative exploration. A record that promises to excite and involve, between fresh sounds and a forward-looking vision.

The Human Fear will be available on LP, Deluxe LP, CD and digital.
The Deluxe LP is presented in a gatefold sleeve, printed with a UV matte finish, with an 8-page booklet featuring exclusive footage of the band recording the album at AYR Studios, Scotland. The vinyl is printed on orange BioVinyl, 100% recyclable and can be used in the circular economy. The exclusive Demo LP contains previously unreleased demos from the album.
