The Souchon family, Alain, Pierre and Charles (better known as Ours), are touring French stages. This unusual experience shows a common love of song and a complicity that the public seems to appreciate beyond the expectations of the three artists. Three-way interview.
RFI Musique: This family show begins with “La p'tite Bill (she's sick)” released in 1977. Beautiful song, but nostalgic, melancholic, where it is a question of solitude in particular. Why did you choose this song to start the show?
Alain Souchon: I like her and she is calm. It establishes something, a climate. A little bit as you say, a little bit sad. But at the same time, she is a little famous. It's a waltz. So it's light. So I like it.
And this choice of songs, did the three of you do it together? How did the selection go?
And you're both around the piano. And Alain leaning on the piano. We feel like we're almost at home, with family. Was it important to give the impression of a concert as if we were at home?
Alain Souchon, you said at the very beginning of this tour, with humor, that this tour was a prescription from your doctor, to cheer you up a little along with the vitamins?
Alain : I didn't say that with humor! it was true. He gave me a prescription and said: “ Yes, I see what you have. You need to go on tour with your kids.”. It's written on the prescription!
