Between Pascal Obispo and Zazie, it’s a story that lasts. In 1991, the two artists met and after finding each other “ unpleasant » at first glance, alchemy is born, both musical and friendly. “ I had just signed with a record company, Pascal was in the process of being signed. I had songs for my first album, but I absolutely wanted a title from someone unknown to the battalion » confided the singer to 7 dayswhile his sidekick made his mea culpa on their first tense contact: “ I am a very clumsy person. Without too much tact… My spontaneity has sometimes played tricks on me, and often with people less intelligent than Zazie. So she gave me a second chance “. Since then, the two have collaborated on numerous occasions, notably on the hit “Zen”, or the “Lighter the fire” which they signed for Johnny Hallyday. In 1996, Pascal Obispo et Zazie even shared the duet “Les Meilleurs Enemies”, taken from the album “Superflu”.

“You wouldn’t have left me…”

Although they continued to work together over the years, the two friends never recorded a new duet on record. The error is now fixed! Indeed, Pascal Obispo has just released his new album “L'archipel des sequeles”, composed of duets with female artists. In the middle of Carla Bruni (“His child's soul”), Anne Sila, Sharon Laloum, Isabelle Boulay, Elodie Frégé (“Suffire”) or Nolwenn Leroy, he once again called on Zazie on the title track “The Archipelago of Sequels”. “ You will have left me / Only an archipelago of after-effects / Of eternal words / Of migraines in spades / An archipelago of after-effects / Of fevers and gall / Of absences in spades » sings the duo, heartbroken after a painful breakup, to piano notes.

In parallel with the release of this new album, Pascal Obispo is currently continuing its tour of its “30 years of success”, under the name “Correspondances”. He will be in concert this Friday evening in Mérignac, then in , , , , Besançon, , , , , or . The final point is expected on April 1 in Monaco.
