Chimène Badi is promoting a brand new project called Gospel & Soul, voice and soul which is scheduled for release on November 8. The singer will then be on stage at the Grand Rex on March 4. “You are not ready“, she confided to her community in the caption of an Instagram publication revealing the poster for her show. A year earlier, she revealed her tribute to Edith Piaf. “D-Day, The complete (…) is out. It no longer belongs to me, it is yours now, I hope it will do you as much good as it did me! A big thank you to everyone who participated in this album with me and thank you for accompanying me on this wonderful adventure.“, she posted on October 6, 2023.

Chimène Badi “released” of “lots of things“, the singer confides with an open heart

Sunday October 27, Chimène Badi was the guest of the podcast The Lesson in which she returned to the school harassment of which she was the victim when she entered middle school, in sixth grade. She also gave her news. “I'm doing well because I'm no longer a slave to many things. I freed myself from the gaze of others, from the pressure of my job. I understood that life wasn't like that“, she began. And continued: “Our job is wonderful, especially if it's a passion job… We won everything there, it's wonderful. It's not supposed to make us unhappy, to eat us up and it's not supposed to stop us from flourishing or from believing in ourselves or from having hope, from having confidence and that's not a priority, except It took me a long time to understand it. My career was the most important thing, to such an extent that it ate up my life, a large part of it, whereas today, that is no longer the case“.

I do what I want, I am Chimène

If Chimène Badi was able to take this path, it is also thanks to a trait of her personality that she discovered. “I was diagnosed as hypersensitive two years ago so I understood who I was, why emotions took such a strong place in me (…) People don't bother me because we know that if I say no, it's no, it took me a long time to get to that point, I felt guilty before (…) I felt guilty whereas today, I make decisions, I take responsibility for them“, she explained. Finally, she decided to no longer take into account what is said about her physique. “What I represent physically, I don't care. I was really bothered with this: 'She's thin, she's fat, she has pimples…'. I don't fit into the codes they want me to fit into, I do what I want. I am Chimène“, she continued. She added that she had lost “enormously“of weight when she was working on her project in homage to Edith Piaf.”Two years have passed, I stopped smoking, it's been a year, I've gained ten kilos, I'm slowly starting to lose them, but it's ok! I freed myself from all that, it's true freedom“.
