We must save soldier Weezer

We must save soldier Weezer
We must save soldier Weezer

When it comes to talking about Weezer in 2024 or since 2001, the eternal refrain of any teenager in 1994 who has become an adult is to snub – at best – the entire discography of the band Rivers Cuomo published since. It is certain that Matt Sharp we miss (but perhaps not as much as Mikey Welsh) and yes, the blue album and Pinkerton will forever remain two gems of the American alternative scene of the 90’s that we will cherish forever.

And yet for thirty years, Weezer has always managed to maintain a certain flame for those who take the trouble to follow their generous career driven by songwriting in the image of Rivers Cuomo: efficient, honest and sensitive. Which doesn’t stop the ups and downs, precisely why we love music and therefore Weezer.

We are well aware that this small post-Pinkerton for which we were drawn from the Green Album released in 2001 until the very recent EP SZNZ: Winter passing through the White Album Or Everything Will Be Allright In The Endrisks giving fodder to his loyal haters but life is too short, we take the risk.
