JYP And KBS Announce Global Kpop Audition To Find Their Next Star

KBS 2TV’s upcoming entertainment show “The Ddanddara,” helmed by director Yang Hyeok and screenwriter Choi Moon Kyung, is set to embark on a groundbreaking quest to discover the world’s ultimate solo artist. This innovative project, led by JY Park, an iconic figure known for his multiple talents, aims to unearth individuals who excel not only in singing and dancing, but also in acting and entertainment.

The significant collaboration between JY Park and KBS is epitomized by “The Ddanddara,” a new approach to audition programs focused on identifying versatile talents poised to make a profound impact on the entertainment industry. JY Park, known for forming prominent K-pop groups like miss A, TWICE, ITZY and NMIXX, brings his expertise to this project, leveraging his extensive experience in talent development.

Aiming to facilitate the global grand debut of the next generation of talents, JY Park plans to hold open auditions globally, leveraging the comprehensive infrastructure and systematic approach honed during his time at the global entertainment giant, JYP Entertainment.

By partnering with KBS, which has a wide network of international branches, auditions will be held in various locations, including Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, as well as the United States, Japan and Vietnam.

“The Ddanddara” officially launches its search for exceptional talents, inviting applications from people born between 1993 and 2009, regardless of nationality. Independent candidates, not bound by exclusivity contracts, are encouraged to participate in this transformative adventure.
