In conversation with El Planeta Del Rock’s Sam Acevedo, Bathory described the experience as “surreal,” especially considering his childhood in Budapest, Hungary, where he idolized bands like Megadeth. He remembered his childhood dreams of touring the world with a rock band and the importance of seeing one of his favorite artists opening for Five Finger Death Punch.

Bathory emphasized the mutual respect and reverence between the two groups, emphasizing the importance of recognizing Megadeth’s iconic status within the music industry. Despite the success of Five Finger Death Punch, Bathory was keen to reiterate the importance of paying homage to the influence and legacy of Megadeth.

Building on its success, Five Finger Death Punch recently announced a headlining US tour with Marilyn Manson and Slaughter To Prevail as opening acts. The band continues to tour to promote their ninth album, AfterLife, released in 2022.
