The artist took advantage of his appearance on the show to present I looked for youa title that she co-wrote with Slimane and the Salah brothers and which is the second extract from her album “Je suis là” which will be released on November 29. “It’s a title that talks about the passage of time in the face of love and how we can make it an ally. How does this passing time, which can make us aware of listening, of communicating, of the space that we owe to others, means that, sometimes, even if we do not always look in the same direction, it doesn’t matter. Maybe it’s just a moment that can nourish love, even redefine it.”explains Lara Fabian.

How do you view the passage of time? Does he scare you?

I am very happy to be getting older. It means we are growing. It takes a lot of talent to grow old without being an adult. I’m not a nostalgic person. That doesn’t stop me from sometimes enjoying being face to face with my memories.

You have just won the tenth season of The Voice Kids with Tim, talent of your team. Did you doubt the outcome of this final?

No not at all. Tim and I were surprised when we found out he won. I thought Louis (talent from Claudio Capéo’s team, Editor’s note.)who is also wonderful, was going to win. I think what touched the public about Tim was his candor, his purity and his emotion. The first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning was to stay in touch with this young boy because I really want to work with him.

Are you up for a new season of The Voice Kids ?

Yes of course. I’m up for everything beautiful in life!

You are a coach in several versions of The Voice format, in and Canada and we will soon find you as an “exceptional teacher” in the Star Academy. What does this role bring you?

I entered the world of transmission eight years ago with The Voice in Canada. It’s what makes me happiest in life. I like to open this toolbox accumulated over 30 years and put it at the service of another person. It’s really valuable to be able to transmit. It’s truly the best role of my career. Every year I have this cap, in one country or another.

You will also open a singing school. Will her students be able to have lessons with Lara Fabian in person?

Of course ! We will organize seminars lasting four to six days, five to six times a year. It’s a complete training where there will be singing, obviously, but also courses on body awareness, on the physiological aspect of singing, on awareness of what the profession of singer is. I will be teaching alongside my own teachers.

Would you have liked to participate in a talent show like this when you were a child?

I would have loved it! My father would have followed me but I would not have been able to convince my mother. She was a little reluctant. It’s true that we are not always equipped to deal with this profession. We learn a little late. We fall and we get up. But, music, writing, the art of singing and mastering an instrument, it’s so beautiful that it’s worth it.

Did you have difficulty managing your notoriety when your career took off in the 90s?

Everything was like a journey, step by step. I have good memories and those of more difficult times. I’m not going to say everything was perfect because it wasn’t. You had to know how to face the wave. I learned a lot. Above all, I always kept in mind the reason why I did all this: my love for music. I told myself that I was born a singer and that this is what translated me, what I was made for. This is what allowed me to move forward.
