In June 2023, during an issue of “What a time!” on France 2, a dispute broke out between Christophe Dechavanne, the permanent guest of the show and a renowned host.

Thierry Ardisson vs. Christophe Dechavanne

The incident therefore occurred during the broadcast of June 17, 2023, as reported by Le Parisien. That evening, Thierry Ardisson was invited with his wife, journalist Audrey Crespo-Mara. A heated exchange broke out when Christophe Dechavanne made a surprising statement: “There was a time when he was saying everywhere that I wanted to beat him up, when I was ready to beat him up myself, without anyone’s help.”

A provocation which was not without response from Ardisson, treating Christophe Dechavanne as “Patrice Carmouze by Léa Salamé”.

A captivating verbal battle for studio spectators, but which was not broadcast on air!

An explosive temperament

Christophe Dechavanne is known for his outspokenness and his difficult character. A behavior which has sometimes jeopardized his future in “What a time!”

But despite disagreements, Christophe Dechavanne seems to find happiness in the show, particularly enjoying his collaboration with Léa Salamé. He also responded to the rumors that say he is leaving. “Very kindly and without any annoyance… come and see and observe for just one evening the atmosphere that reigns at QE!… it would avoid gossip and comments that do not reflect reality. Without kidding, these messages are annoying. you (?) or others are tiring.“, he wrote on his X account.

It must be said that a few months ago, his reputation was tarnished by revelations from former collaborators, relayed by Nouvel Obs. Qualified as “odious” And “unbearable”, Christophe Dechavanne allegedly made derogatory remarks and threw terrible fits of anger.

Cyril Hanouna got involved by inviting a former companion of the host to the set of Facing Hanouna. The latter had revealed a dark side of Christophe Dechavanne: “He speaks badly, can whistle at people, hurt people by making fun of them, be acrimonious, scream because he can’t be wrong. And the next day he brings flowers and gifts.” she reported. Comments that the host categorically denied a few days later on the set of Quotidien.
