BAM Festival – Sheila, a diva on stage

Two concerts for the price of one, Thursday evening at the opening of the BAM festival in Montceau-les-Mines and a packed Embarcadère.

So whether we like Dave and Sheila or not, the audience loved it. These two artists accompanied him for more than fifty years, “60 years” does not hide Sheila. “I recorded 700 to 800 songs, all hits,” she says in all modesty. His hit, “Spacer”, was heard at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games and again at the opening and closing ceremonies. “The queen of the Olympic Games, the gold medal, it’s me,” she says without reservation.

Sheila on stage is a diva. She plays it. Today, his songs are very rock like a mixed rum. Rhythm and more rhythm thanks to the complicity of musicians who hold the upper hand.

His heart goes bang bang and the audience rushes to the stage. Be careful, sometimes it rocks! “In Montceau, it’s not fun, there’s tempo.” Pleasure, she takes it, she gives it. “I feel like I’m with friends.” Probably more for some.

“You see, time has no control over us,” she likes to say. Sheila hasn’t aged a bit, “I won’t hide the fact that I needed to be ironed a little.” At least it’s said without pinching it.

So when it came time to move on to the 70s, the room jumped to its feet. “With me, it has to sing, it has to move.”

A real bath of youth. And it works, even after midnight.
