The ‘Music Bank in Madrid’ is definitely happening!

Fans who have purchased tickets for the event can rest assured that Music Bank in Madrid will go ahead.

On October 12, 2024, the ‘Music Bank in Madrid’ was to take place at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, a unique concert bringing together many K-POP artists. However, for a few months, Madrid residents have been fighting against foreign tourists and travelers and have expressed their clear discontent with Real Madrid’s policy of allowing concerts to take place in the mythical Casa Blanca stadium. Thus, recently, Real Madrid unilaterally announced the cancellation of the concert, to the despair of all the K-POP fans who had bought their tickets.

On September 24, the event organizer, Korean Power, released a new press release to announce “working on different options” to be able to organize the concert in a new venue. A delegation from KBS had arrived in Madrid to find a new venue to organize the concert, two weeks before the event.

‘Music Bank in Madrid’ seeks new venue for concert two weeks before event

On September 25, the very next day, we learned that KBS had finally found a new location to hold the event, and that it would indeed take place on October 12 as planned, but at the Miguel Ríos Auditorium in Rivas-Vaciamadrid.

Korean Power said:

“As you may already know, last Friday, September 13, the Santiago Bernabéu stadium announced the unilateral decision not to host any of the concerts scheduled before 2025. This decision surprised us and since then, we have been working together day and night with the KBS Music Bank team, to find an alternative and ensure that we can enjoy the event that we were all waiting for with such impatience.

After reading all your comments expressing your willingness to participate in Music Bank in Madrid despite the possible changes, and after evaluating all possible options, we can finally offer you a solution. The Music Bank World Tour in Madrid will take place on the scheduled date, October 12, 2024, at the same schedule, at the Miguel Ríos Auditorium in Rivas-Vaciamadrid. It is a well-connected venue (metro and bus) and the only one available in the Madrid region with the necessary capacity to accommodate all those who have already purchased their tickets, without compromising any aspect of the artistic and technical production.

The main change will be that the seats, which were originally all seated, will now be standing, both on the ground and in the stands, due to the lack of space and to ensure a safe evacuation plan. In addition, the venue will be divided into three zones (Pista/Floor A, Pista/Floor B and Gradas/Gradins) based on the ticket types, which you can see in the attached image, as well as the map of the new venue. To be as fair as possible to those who have purchased the most expensive tickets in each zone, there will be different queues and priority access. We will provide you with all the details regarding the access operation, and everything will be clearly indicated to you upon arrival at the venue. Rest assured, everyone has their own place, so there is no need to worry. All tickets purchased through SeeTickets remain valid without any changes. When you receive them, the new location and access points will be indicated to you.

If you can’t make it to the new venue or are not interested in attending under these new conditions, you can request a refund for your tickets via the SeeTickets customer service portal before Wednesday, October 2nd. We will miss you. We want to thank you once again for all the affection and support received, as well as from the bands and the KBS Music Bank team. Today, more than ever, we can say with impatience… SEE YOU AT MUSIC BANK IN MADRID!
