Parabellum, Ludwig Von 88, Pogo Car Crash Control, Pigalle, Tagada Jones, Discharge, Les Sales Majestés, Washington Dead Cat… the festival’s reputation is well established. Thirty-one editions under its belt, a thirty-second one coming up, and a slew of names on the successive posters, most of them bands from the punk movement.
We remain in the spirit even if this year’s programming is intended to be more “eclectic”confides Thierry Guiet, known as Titoo, member of the office responsible for communication, “with Celtic punk rock, heavy rock and garage rock”.
And above all a 100% French and 100% feminine poster. “Yes, that’s how it happened, we were looking for names of groups to invite and the first three that came out were names of female groups. There are more and more of them, it’s holding up and it’s very popular.”
In detail, Toxic Frogs will come from Lyon to play their explosive, festive and committed Celtic punk rock against violence against women, the fate of migrants and the evils of liberalism…
We discovered them in 2019 at Hellfest, winners of the The Voice of Hell springboard, they returned in 2024, also displaying a certain commitment against violence against women, the Montbéliardaises Fallen Lillies could give us a sneak peek at some tracks from their upcoming album…
Although the three musicians from Madam, originally from Toulouse, have not yet played at Hellfest, they have nevertheless performed at Motocultor, Garorock, XTrem Fest and Rock en Seine. They have performed a good hundred concerts, a freshly released album and a repertoire that would set an iceberg on fire. Rock made with hands and guts… Strong swell warning!
Three groups, three styles, three approaches to rock but the same pleasure of playing live and turning a room upside down with repertoires with communicative energy.
For the second consecutive year, the festival will be held indoors at theA’Capella Space at La Chapelle Palluau. 600 festival-goers are eagerly awaited by the 50 volunteers. There are still places.
