Emma Bos, aka Âme, a young singer from Monistrol-sur-Loire, unveils her first title “Fêlés”, an ode to hope and resilience. In love with words and music, she has found her way over the years, driven by a visceral passion and a relentless quest for meaning and freedom.
At 24, after leaving a stifling life to reinvent herself under the sun of Reunion Island, Âme returns to France with a dream bigger than ever: “to make souls vibrate through her songs”.
Accompanied by her friend and composer Sylvain, Âme delivers her first single which bears witness to her journey, her doubts, but above all her determination to transform wounds into light. It is a sincere and deeply personal work, reflecting her experiences and her love for art.
A lover of words
With several lyrics in the works and a second single slated for release on October 24, Âme is ready to burst onto the music scene with boundless energy and a burning desire to share her music with the world.
“I grew up in a small village in Haute-Loire but I have always been drawn to new horizons. I am a lover of words. When I sing, it is from the depths of my Soul. And at 24, I just want to live my dream.”
In search of living his dream
“Like many people, I didn’t really know what I was made for. But art has always driven me. I’ve been writing since I was little. Stories, poems, tales. I dreamed of doing theater and music. I became passionate about it in middle school. When I set foot on a stage, I had more than ever the strong feeling of existing.”
Reunion, his land of inspiration
After dropping out of college, she decided to set sail for Reunion Island with a friend. It was initially just a few weeks of backpacking. “But I fell in love with this enchanting land. So, on a whim, I abandoned my return flight and settled on the “intense island”. The three weeks of vacation turned into three years of life. And what a life! The most beautiful one there is. Like the feeling of having found my home.”
She then reconnected with music, gained self-confidence, “I understood who I was, and what made me happy”, wrote a lot during these years. “A thousand things inspired me.”
On his return to France, it’s time to get started
August 2023, it’s time for his return to France, to finally be reunited with his family. “After all these years, an extremely difficult mourning and a broken vertebra in a parachute accident, I felt that it was time.”
She meets Sylvain. He will become her composer, putting her texts to music.
Because we are all a little “Cracked” somewhere
“Cracked” is the very first story that came forward. It’s an ode to hope. Hope. “I wrote it for myself, to never give up. And for my friends who have struggled. To try to help them, as best I could. To get back up, even from the worst blows. To dare, to believe, to hope. To heal the ills with words. That’s my greatest desire.”
The beginning of an (en)enchanted adventure
About fifteen texts are impatiently waiting. Some are already on their way. The next single will soon see the light of day.
“We’re going to work hard with Sylvain to bring as many songs as possible to life before my new departure for Reunion Island! And I really hope that the doors of music will also be open for me there, on the other side of the ocean.”
