The singer, who released his first song since his gunshot wound on August 30, is unveiling the accompanying video this Wednesday.
Kendji Girac publishes the video for his song on September 18 If only…released on August 30th. This is the first single from his new album, expected on October 4th. The song is by Vianney and Renaud Rebillaud.
We see the singer at the seaside, lying on rocks, then in the water, drowned, like an echo of his situation. This album marks the return of the young artist after his gunshot wound last April.
“I almost lost my life”
The singer failed lose lifeon April 22, after inflicting a serious gunshot wound on himself in the chest during an argument with his partner. He was then highly alcoholic and had consumed cocaine. He had initially claimed to have wanted to “fake suicide”, before changing his version of events. The proceedings were closed without further action.
“I almost lost my life, the love of my family, my audience, my friends,” he has since said. “My daughter almost lost her father. I don’t know what happened,” the singer said. “I want to become again the boy I was, that I am deep down.”
This album also marks ten years of Kendji Girac’s career, revealed by The Voice in 2014.
Kendji Girac published the tracklist of the album on Tuesday, mainly composed by Vianney and Renaud Rebillaud. Singers Ycare, Louane and Emma Peters also participated in this album.
