The big subject: PN 145

By decree, Madam Prefect put an end to the project to remove level crossings. “ The PN 145 of Neau being still classified as at risk, a new decree was issued for a security project once again leading to its removal. A connection from the D 32, opposite the village hall car park, to the D 140, near the Lhoist stocks, with a passage under the tracks, should be operational in 2030. At the station, an underground pedestrian passage will be created in order to maintain a link between the south and the north of the town and to have secure access to the docks. »

Madam Prefect, while awaiting the finalization of the project, hoped that the conditions of the current passage would be improved. “ The demolition of the station café and the house located in the continuity of it as well as the leveling of annoying vegetation will be carried out with a landscaping of the premises. All work and developments are fully covered by funding from the department. The municipality's contribution was the free transfer of the Métairie house. »
