From Tuesday January 21 at 8 a.m. to Monday January 27, 2025 at 9 p.m., the carrying and transport of weapons and objects that could constitute a weapon by destination are prohibited in the municipalities of Saint-Jory, Castelnau-d'Estrétefonds and Grenade. This decision aims to prevent further disturbances to public order, while militant demonstrations against this construction site have already given rise to sabotage, fires of equipment, verbal and physical violence, as well as illegal occupations of land. .

Under article 132-75 of the penal code, the ban includes any object designed to kill or injure, objects used or intended to threaten or injure, as well as imitation weapons likely to sow confusion. The use of animals for the purpose of aggression is also considered to be the use of a weapon. The police, the only ones authorized to carry out their duties, will ensure strict compliance with this measure.
