new images for the animated film remake (and it doesn't look so bad?)

Dragonsthe live action remake of the film directed by Dean DeBlois reveals a little more in a new teaser.

After the recent release of Mufasa : The Roi lion2025 has in store for us new batch of live-action remakes big animated successes. On the one hand, the Snow White directed by Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man), will be released on March 19 and Lilo and Stitch staged by Dean Fleischer Camp (Marcel, the Shell (with his shoes)), will hit the big screen on May 21.

But in this genre, the few images from another project can (a little more) attract our attention. Let's talk about Dragonsthe live-action remake of the 2010 film, directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders. A new teaser for the feature film has recently been published and it doesn't look so bad:

Dragons, a remake that packs a punch

Be careful, this is not to expect a groundbreaking masterpiece that will shake up the Hollywood aesthetic for decades to come. Nevertheless, the precision of the special effects (for a trailer), the elegance of the photography and the scale of the staging of the dragons promise generous entertainment and a minimum of success – we hope.

Different trailers and teasers of Dragons already published, this one seems technically more accomplished and sophisticated – the calibration, in particular, has been polished, removing the flat patina of the previous images. Hopefully Dean DeBlois and his team will avoid the trap between hyperrealism and cartoon into which they fell The Lion King (2019) et Mufasa.

Gerard Butler a Viking

As a reminder, this new version of the 2010 film will bring together in its cast, in particular, Mason Thames (For All Mankind, Black Phone), Nico Parker (Dumbo, The Last of Us) et Gerard Butler (300, The Fall of the President). Its cinematographer is Bill Pope, who worked on the first three Matrixbut also on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Note that Dragons will come out next June 11 in our French cinemas.
