The scouting unit has spoken: the Union has found its next target beyond the Arctic Circle – The latest transfers

The Union is on the trail of Mamadou Thierno Barry. The defender plays in Norway.

For several seasons, the central defense of Union Saint-Gillose has been well in place. When everyone is in good shape, Christian Burgess, Kévin MacAllister and Koki Machida are unstoppable, with Ross Sykes and Fedde Leysen as first backups.

But management does not forget to think of other solutions for the future. After having done wonders in recent years, the scouting cell is also looking to strengthen the rearguard.

According to information from several Norwegian media confirmed by La Derniere Heure, the Union has set its sights on Mamadou Thierno Barry, a 19-year-old central defender playing in Tromsø.

The Union may have to pay the price

The boy arrived in northern Norway from Senegal just under a year ago. After several weeks of acclimatization, he established himself as a starter in the Eliteserien, also playing two preliminary matches in the Champions League.

If Mamadou Thierno Barry is seen above all as a long-term plan, he could already join Parc Duden this winter. Management is therefore negotiating with Tromsø for its player, still under contract until December 2028 and valued at 1.80 million by Transfermarkt.
