This is why the festivities will begin tomorrow. Take your diaries, there are a whole bunch of dates to note.
Everything will start tomorrow, Thursday January 16, with the arrival of 3 new kits: Secret Sanctuary, Casanova Cave et Comfy Gamerthe latest being a collaboration with the streamer lilsimsie. There will then be around ten days of respite before the next stage: a special event Nostalgia Now from January 27 to 31. A cryptic title which leaves room for speculation. We can thus imagine the arrival of a nostalgic temporary mode allowing us to rediscover the aesthetics of the very first The Sims game, for example. But it is from February 4 that we will really get to the heart of the matter.
From January 16 to February 25, the festivities will go well
For the 25th anniversary, the Sims team is offering you a 25-hour live event. The latter will begin at 11 p.m. (French time) on February 4 and will be broadcast on Twitch, Youtube and TikTok. The opportunity to return to “The impact of The Sims over the past 25 years with the best builders, storytellers and more.” This will also be the time to announce some new features, including a board game The Sims which has obviously already leaked. In addition to this ambitious event, small new features will also arrive in the game. An update will indeed add more than 70 objects to the Sims 4, but also 2 hairstyles, 3 classic hairstyles in version “baby hair”1 hairstyle for little ones, 1 goatee and lots of new clothes and accessories – from bodysuits to gold chains – and of course new items Build Buy to beautify your home.
Among the Build Buy items is a new pirate ship for kids.
In addition to all these little new features, there is a free limited-time event: Blast From The Past. Exclusively available in Life Mode, the latter will allow you to obtain rewards “inspired by iconic objects from the 2000s”of which you can have a preview below. On the mobile gaming side Les Sims FreePlaywe will find the same idea with the event FreePlay 2000. Note that this version will also welcome a new improved lighting option next March.
Because yes, the festivities will continue after the famous anniversary date. On March 18, the Nintendo Switch game MySims: Cozy Collection will land on PC. From February 5, you will also be able to treat yourself to a whole bunch of derivative products. The Motherlode season will begin on February 6, without us having any more information about it. And on February 25, a surprise seems to await the players. But we'll have to settle for a pair of big eyes as the only clue for the moment. The least we can say is that EA pulled out all the stops.
