James Gunn claims to have learned from his mistakes and will address the post-credits scene of Superman differently than what he did with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Although the new DC Extended Universe has started with the series Creature Commandos currently broadcast on Max, in the cinematographic field it will officially begin with Supermanthe new version of Man of Steel which prepares James Gunn.
Con David Corenswet in the role of the titular hero, the plot of the movie It will not address a typical origin story, but will present us with an active Superman along with other popular DC heroes.
According to its director, the film will explore Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kentwith Lex Luthor as one of the main villains who will put the hero on the ropes.

James Gunn assures that the post-credits scene of Superman will not follow the guidelines Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
The arrival of the new DC Extended Universe marks the return of a classic in superhero Movies: the post-credits scenes. And now that the new saga begins, fans are eager to know what James Gunn will reveal about what is to come.
However, the director has commented that He is going to be cautious with what he presents from now on in the post-credits scenes of his feature filmsand gives as an example what he did in the Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and that he considers everything a mistake.
As Gunn details Phase Herothe filmmaker points out that there will be a post-credits scene in Superman, but it will not follow the same guidelines that he did with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, that is, introducing a new character.
“If you look at my credits scene in the Marvel movies, The only time I f*cked myself was when I put Adam Warloxk on [en Guardianes de la Galaxia Vol. 2] because then I said, 'oh shit, now I have to put Adam Warlock in the next movie,' which was actually a headache,” the director confesses.
Thus, it seems that we will not see any new ally or enemy in the post-credits scene of the new Superman played by David Corenswet, so we have to wait to see what James Gunn will address at the end of his next film. We'll find out on July 11, 2025.
