Donald Glover wants to change the tone of the franchise with Lando
Donald Glover is one of those artists with many hats.which many know but from a different perspective. But to others, Glover is best known for his role as Troy Barnes on the series Community. Since then, we have had very few details on the progress of the feature film, the numerous changes in terms of both the format and the creative team having pushed the project back. I just want it to be fun. As a Star Wars fan, I think it’s important to have more fun, because it’s really hard to have fun right now. It’s hard because there’s really serious stuff going on and those are the only things that connect us, weirdly, so I understand why things are serious. But I think part of the human experience is that we have a responsibility to have fun. And I feel like we’re missing out on that fun.
I love Star Wars, but sometimes it’s very serious, and sometimes it’s way too serious. Everything Skywalker-related is very serious. I think the best thing about Lando is that he’s a rascal and I think people can relate to him. That’s probably the kind of guy that [de personnage] to say, ‘This war is bullshit, I need money,’ which everyone can relate to, so I just want it to be fun.
It remains to be seen whether the film Lando will eventually come to fruition, and if so, when?.
