Explained ending of Disney's 'The Lion King' prequel

There is an event that, no matter how much time passes, will always traumatize all children, regardless of their generation: Mufasa's death. The wildebeest stampede scene with Hans Zimmer's epic soundtrack will live forever in our nightmares.

The evil Scar, Mufasa's brother and Simba's uncle, causes the stampede in which little Simba is trapped. His father manages to save him, but when he tries to climb the cliff, his brother betrays him and lets him fall with an ironic and sententious “long live the King”, crushing him to death.

For many this was their first contact with death, loss and grief. However, he also contributed to the character's epic and his legacy and legend, especially when he appears to Simba in the sky to remind him of his bravery and that he will always live in him. Also, the unforgettable voice of James Earl Jones or of Constantine Romero In its Spanish dubbing it contributed to that epic.

Now, Disney wants to give Mufasa the tribute it deservesand what better way than to tell his story, his story long before being the lion king, because the film teaches that, despite what we might think with the scene in which father and son look at the great kings in the sky from the past, Mufasa was not born a king, he became one.

Mufasa: The Lion King It is heir to the CGI live-action version directed by Jon Favreau in 2019. Who is Simba and Nala's other son?

In The Lion King 2: Simba's Treasure We meet Kiara, but at no point is it mentioned that she has a brother, so who is that new puppy that Simba and Nala come back with? Everything indicates that it could be Kionhis little brother. This lion appears for the first time in the series The lion guardfrom the Disney Junior children's channel. But why doesn't it appear in the sequel?

The main reason is because the sequel is from 1994 and the series from 2015so this was released long before the idea of a series about the adventures of Simba's little son was even raised. However, the narrative reason could also be that Kion wasn't born yet when Kiara meets Kobu for the first time and, when they meet again years later, Kion meets the lion guard at the Tree of Lifethe events of the series and the movie taking place in parallel.
