a firm that ‘helps brands meet their objectives’

Former president Rafael Correa is preparing for his second starring role in a documentary. A few days ago, the former president published two journalistic articles from Spain, which narrate that the production company Milyuna Historias is working on a documentary about his ‘lawfare’ case or political persecution from justice.

The documentary will be called ‘Influjo Psíquico’ and focuses on the thesis that Correismo has spread internationally that the Bribery case is a case of judicialization of politics.

The information is still little. But in the newspapers El Heraldo de Aragón and El Periódico de Aragón they dedicated him extensive promotional notes. There, they announce that the documentary is in filming process in several locations in Zaragoza, Spain, and that filming will conclude at the beginning of 2025. Correa disseminated said content on his X account.

The producer Milyuna Historias is not new to this type of documentaries. This signature is the one that He also produced the documentary “Petro”with the story of Colombian President Gustavo Petro, from director Sean Mattison, which is broadcast in the United States through Amazon Prime.

This information, in fact, is what former President Lenín Moreno referred to in a cryptic message through his X account. Moreno said that when he received the offer to make a documentary of this type for Netflix, they told him that the cost was of around USD 3 million, and made an indirect reference to Correa about his new documentary.

The company behind the idea

Milyuna Historias SL is the company that will produce Correa’s documentary. On its website, this firm is described as a “producer with origins and advertising essence“, which uses “audiovisual formats with a clear objective: to help brands meet their objectives.”

Fernando Monzón Fabregat He is his manager, a publicist who also serves as executive producer. On his own blog he describes himself as an “expert in marketing guerrillalaunching high-impact campaigns, cyberactivism and creative commercial strategies”.

In addition to being a publicist, Monzón is mechanical engineer and writer (he has published three books), according to his profile. And he leads the advertising agency 3lemon, which promotes its work on several continents with recognized brands ranging from Coca-Cola to El Corte Inglés.

There is little information about the 3lemon agency. Your website presents only cryptic messages that lead clients to get in touch, but no information about the campaigns or work they have done. Although a report from El País in 2018 talks about how this agency worked on the creation of a new model of X bots (then Twitter), to generate interaction.

On its YouTube channel, however, 3lemon promotes that it was the agency behind Petro’s victory in Colombia in 2022, with the “secret vote” campaign. The agency has also worked on Donald Trump’s campaigns for the presidency of the United States in 2016-2017, as well as that of Isabel Díaz Ayuzo, president of the Community of Madrid.

In fact, Monzón sells himself as a “creator of influencers and presidents.” In an interview, he assures that they also work on “reputation cleansing” of people on the internet.

The origin of the documentary

Correismo has positioned the ‘lawfare’ discourse since 2019, with the emergence of the Bribery case. This speech of the alleged judicialization of politics It has been used by former presidents Dilma Rousseff, Evo Morales, Cristina Fernández and Lula da Silva.

‘Lawfare’ also appeared in the documentary ‘He went to return’, which tells the story of five former officials of the Correa government who went into self-exile in Mexico.

For this reason, ‘Psychic Influence: the lawfare case against Rafael Correa’ is the second documentary dedicated to correismo. And it has been planning for more than a year now.

The social media accounts of Milyuna Historias promoted a documentary in September 2023 on Correa with a very similar title: ‘Mashi: the lawfare case against Rafael Correa’. There, you can see several shots of the former president, both when he was in power and when he left office.

That promotional video was widely disseminated in the networks of Correa followers in September 2023. However, more than a year later, the documentary has not been released and now apparently changed name.
