‘Karate Kid’ returns in a big way with its first trailer with an imposing Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio

Karate Kid: Legends‘has published its first trailer, showing us the return of the saga to the big screen in what will be the definitive meeting with Jackie Chan y Ralph Macchio at the head next to a Ben Wang which aims to be the future of the franchise. The film will be released on May 30, 2025 and aims to be one of the big releases of next year, a film to enjoy with the whole family and that brings us back to cinema legends that have made us enjoy throughout the decades and are part of such a popular saga over time as ‘Karate Kid’.

The return of ‘Karate Kid’ in style

The year 2025 will mark the end of ‘Cobra Kai’, the series that has been a huge success and has given us back the 80’s classic. Now, ‘Karate Kid: Legends’ brings together the protagonist of the original trilogy and the master of 2010 film in the quest to give his pupil the best possible education and preparation around martial arts.

The synopsis for ‘Karate Kid: Legends’ reads as follows: “In Karate Kid: Legends, after a family tragedy, kung fu prodigy Li Fong is forced to leave his home in Beijing and move to New York with his mother. Li struggles to leave his past behind while trying to fit in with his new classmates, and although he doesn’t want to fight, trouble seems to find him everywhere. When a new friend needs his help, Li enters a karate competition, but his skills are not enough. “Li’s kung fu teacher, Mr. Han, enlists the help of the original Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso, and Li learns a new way to fight, merging his two styles into one for the ultimate martial arts showdown.”
