Ryan Reynolds produces animated film

A prolific actor with the three parts dedicated to Deadpool, the craziest superhero in the Marvel stable, Ryan Reynolds has also been a seasoned producer for almost fifteen years. In partnership with Paramount, Reynolds would like to start work on the animated film adaptation of Super-Mouse (Mighty Mouse in the original version), a cartoon character that appeared for the first time in 1942. According to VarietyParamount Animation would have called on the actor and his production company Maximum Effort to direct the project. The studio also reportedly hired Matt Lieberman, Reynolds' collaborator on the film Free Guy, to sign the script for this adaptation.

An 80 year old cartoon

Super-Mouse is a cartoon character that appeared for the first time in the short film “The Mouse of Tomorrow” produced by Terrytoons studios for 20th Century Fox. The character, possessing abilities similar to those of Superman, was entitled to two series broadcast between 1979 and 1988, also appeared in more than 80 films and was entitled to several comic book adaptations until 2018. Finally, Super- Mouse passed through the hands of several studios, but never got a real reboot before Paramount launched this new project. No release date has yet been communicated.
