New Prime Video: films, series and documentaries to watch in streaming in December 2024

Like Netflix, the Prime Video streaming service is spoiling its subscribers for the end-of-year holidays, by completing its catalog in December 2024 with new films and series. A nice arrival which stands out in particular against rival platforms such as Disney+ and Canal+.

The Sticky

Ruth Landry, a middle-aged maple syrup producer who decides to turn to crime when bureaucratic authorities threaten to take away everything she loves. She then teams up with a hot-tempered mobster from Boston and a mild-mannered French-Canadian security guard to carry out a multi-million dollar theft from Quebec’s national maple syrup reserves.

Unlikely mix between Fargo, Breaking Bad and maple syrup, The Sticky transcends its funny story thanks to a well-balanced pace and a cast of actors (Marfo Martindale, Chris Diamantopulos, Guillaume Cyr) in great form. A zany, tangy action comedy that’s perfect for the holidays.

My Beautiful Boy

David Sheff’s world comes crashing down when he discovers his 18-year-old son, Nic, is addicted to meth. David decides to do everything to save him, confronting his own limits but also those of his family.

Based on the best-selling biographical novels by David Sheff and his son Nic Sheff, My Beautiful Boy is a heartbreaking family drama about addiction, served by a duo of touching actors (Steve Carell, Timothé Chalamet) and astonishing accuracy. A film with a difficult subject, but which will not leave you indifferent.
