We can’t help but wonder what Alexandre Dumas would have thought of it… However, almost two centuries after its publication, his novel The Three Musketeers continues to inspire filmmakers since after his version with François Civil, a female rereading of his masterpiece is preparing to be released on the big screen, reports HuffPost.
In All for onewhich we can discover in theaters on January 22, 2025, director Houda Benyamina (Divines) imagines that the famous Musketeers who protect the Queen of France are in reality women… disguised as men, as its trailer suggests.

A four-star cast
With bandaged chests and false beards stuck to their chins, they travel the kingdom to bring about – or reestablish – justice… just like what the famous Athos, Portos and Aramis of Dumas accomplished. Missing d’Artagnan, you will notice… Well here he becomes Sara, a young girl on the run who rallies the trio to join her fight.
On the casting side, we will find Oulaya Amamra (Divines, animated), Sabrina Ouazani (Taxi 5, Kali), Deborah Lukumuena (Divines, The invisibles) and Daphné Patakia (seen in the series Aries) as musketeers and the Spanish Georgina Amorós (Elite) in the role of the queen.
Our “Cinema” file
HuffPost points out that this is only the second film by director Houda Benyamina after Divinesreleased in 2016 and which received three César Awards (Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Déborah Lukumuena, Best Young Actress for Oulaya Amamra and Best Debut Work).
