According to data from the Flixpatrol site, it not only triumphed in France: it also reached first place in the rankings in nine other countries and occupies third place globally.
A stunt film directed by an expert in the field
This is “GTMax”, a muscular French production, signed Olivier Schneider. Director, screenwriter, actor, but above all stunt expert, he has contributed to renowned blockbusters such as “Taken,” “Fast & Furious 6,” as well as the James Bond films “Spectre” and “No Time to Die.” A know-how that he implements in his film, which is full of impressive stunts, thrilling motocross and Tmax chases, and intense fight scenes. Everything is orchestrated in emblematic places in Paris, such as the Bir-Hakeim bridge and Montmartre, offering a certain sense of visual spectacle. The film follows Soélie (played by Ava Baya), a former motocross prodigy whose career was shattered by a tragic accident. Despite everything, she devotes her life to training her younger brother Michael, in whom she sees immense potential. But when the latter is attracted by a gang of professional robbers using Tmax scooters to carry out spectacular operations in the streets of Paris, Soélie has no other choice but to plunge back into this universe that she had left to save it.
In addition to Ava Baya, the cast brings together Gérard Lanvin, Clémentine Célarié and Just Riadh. For Ava Baya, this role represents much more than an acting performance. A great motorcycle enthusiast, she drove herself in many scenes, she confided to “Nice-Matin”: “I started on MT-07 then MT-09, and now XSR 900 GP. In GTMax, I'm the one driving most of the time. It wasn't easy because of the insurance, but I wanted so much do it which they ended up accepting”.
