Sgt. Rock: A DC Studios film in development with Daniel Craig + Luca Guadagnino directing!

With James Gunn at the helm, we should definitely expect projects, each more unexpected than the last! In line with Creature CommandosDeadline tells us that a film Sgt. Rock is in development, with… Daniel Craig (Knives Out, Casino Royal) headlining and Luca Guadagnino (Challengers, Call Me by Your Name) behind the camera, even though the two men have just filmed together Queer. It could even be Guadagnino’s next film, since the writing of the screenplay – by Justin Kuritzkes (Queer, Challengers) – is already well advanced. So, will World War II soldier Franklin John Rock, born from the imagination of Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert in 1959, be one of the first heroes of the nascent DCU, grilling icons like Batman and Wonder Woman? It’s very possible!
