On the occasion of his first adventures in the MCU, the team will face Galactus and his Silver Surfer, in a similar way to the Marvel comics of the 60s. Find out more about the plot of the film via the official synopsis unveiled by the Maison des Idées, which we share with you below.

No multiverse for Fantastic Four ?

Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn, the four performers of Fantastic 4, will have their work cut out for them to their first mission as the MCU’s new official team. Indeed, the team will have to face a cosmic entity devouring people, Galactus, whose improbable inspiration Kevin Feige revealed right here, and his spokesperson, the Silver Surfer, responsible for finding planets for him to feed on. It will be about Phase 6 intro moviewhich is also part of the Multiverse Saga. However, in the synopsis, which mentions a setting inspired by the 60’s and retro-futuristic, no trace of this concept:

The film follows Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm as they face their biggest challenge yet. Forced to find a balance between their role as hero and the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth against a ravenous God from space called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic herald, the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And as if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and all its inhabitants wasn’t enough, the situation is coupled with very personal issues.

Apart from the change of sex of the Silver Surfer, traditionally male in the comics, the most intriguing part of this synopsis concerns the personal mention. All bets are on: could it be Red and Sue’s son, Franklin? Will Johnny’s Inhuman girlfriend, Crystal, be there? It’s up to you to tell us what you think in the comments!
