Among Batman's array of accessories, the Batmobile is probably the most iconic element. To break the codes, Christopher Nolan wanted to create a more realistic version of the vehicle for his Dark Knight trilogy. Today, these models are on sale and not at a low price!

In the 2000s, Christopher Nolan restored Batman's credentials with his Dark Knight trilogy. With his more realistic approach, the British director gave a second wind to the popularity of the Dark Knight after more cartoonish films at the end of the 90s which disappointed with their colorful side. Thanks to this treatment, many elements of the character's mythology have been revisited under a more credible eyelike the Joker for example who becomes in the second part a terrorist more than a clown. However, it is not the only one to have been the subject of such treatment, since this is even the case of the Batmobile.

The Batmobile, an iconic element of Batman's panoply

In the Dark Knight films, the Batmobile received a complete makeover. If everyone has in mind the design of the car in Tim Burton's films, it no longer has anything to do with Christopher Nolan's productions. Instead, we're treated to a massive, almost Tank-like vehicle, with huge wheels capable of rolling over anything. The goal of this Batmobile is to look more realisticwhich explains all the armor that covers it as one might see on a military vehicle for example. With its truly unique design, the Batmobile from Nolan's films has found its audience and pleased Batman fans. And for the most eager among them, they can even buy it today, but not at any price…

A particularly expensive gift for fans

Recently, Warner Bros, the studio that produced the Batman films, announced that 10 Batmobiles created for Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight films will be put up for sale for a whopping $3 million each.. However, important clarification, these cars work, but do not comply with road standards, which means that you cannot drive them normally on the street without prior authorization. So it's expensive to please fans, especially for a vehicle that you can't even use on a daily basis!
