Rings of Power Season 2 wasn’t enough to quench your thirst for Tolkien’s universe? Well, don’t worry, because Lord of the Rings is coming back very soon… to theaters!
On October 30, Warner Bros gave us a new taste of Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, an animated film that focuses on a little-known episode of Middle-earth! Here we are in Rohan, 200 years before the adventures of Frodo and the Fellowship of the Ring. A terrible conflict then opposes Helm Hammerhand (the king of Rohan) and Wulf, a Dunean. The latter’s father was killed by the monarch, which will set things on fire… But the situation could be calmed by Hera, Helm’s daughter.

A trip to the cinema
The new trailer – available below – gives us a glimpse of the battles that await us, and it’s pretty cool! Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex) is in charge of the animation here. For his part, Peter Jackson serves as executive producer. With a team like this, Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim is looking quite promising. Moreover, the film will not be released directly in streaming. He will be entitled to a cinema version… See you on December 13 to enjoy The War of the Rohirrim in cinemas.
A comeback
This is enough to keep fans waiting while waiting for The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt For Gollum, scheduled for 2026. Yes, it’s official, the famous Sméagol will have the right to his own feature film. It is obviously Andy Serkis who will slip into the skin of the character again, but not only that, because he will also direct… We know, 2026 is not tomorrow, and in the meantime, we will undoubtedly have the straight to season 3 of Rings of Power! Part 2 was completed a few weeks ago on Amazon Prime, to generally positive reviews.
