Madagascar: the musical comedy of the cult animated film arrives in

Do you miss the crazy animals from the animated film Madagascar? They’re back in musical comedy form! It will be on display at the Théâtre du Gymnase from October 19 in .

Madagascar, animated film from the American production company DreamWorks, will give birth to a musical from October 19, 2024. The show, directed by Philippe Hersenwill be on display at Gymnasium Theaterlocated in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.

DreamWorks ceded the rights for the first time to a director French : Philippe Hersen. The director, after the success of the musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Priscilla or even Flashdance, sets out for a new challenge with the animated film Madagascar.

Released in 2005 and having made more than 3 million admissions in the cult animated film Madagascar tell the story d’Alexa lion, and his mythical companions who escape from a zoo to New York to arrive in Madagascar. There musical should make us rediscover the story with the help of colorful choreography and costumes, and all to music!

Madagascar was a huge commercial success, having grossed over $532 million at the worldwide box office on an estimated production budget of around $75 million. This success made it one of the most profitable animated films of 2005 and gave rise to several sequels (Madagascar 2, Madagascar 3) as well as derived series like The Penguins of Madagascar.

Following the Lion King, still playing at the Théâtre Mogador in Paris, Madagascar is an opportunity to discover a French production of the show. A tour of the musical has already taken place in English in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and even Hong Kong with Kirk Jameson as a director, to arrive today in Paris.
