Last week, a great announcement was promised for Kowloon Generic Romancethe latest manga as of Jun Mayuzuki. This consists of a double adaptation for the work: a anime as well as a film live !
Produced and distributed by Bandai Namco Filmworksthese two adaptations are scheduled for early 2025 in Japan. For now, we don’t know more other than the first elements of casting.
Thus, the heroine Reiko Kujirai will be played by the seiyû Haruka Shiraishi in the anime, and by Reiko Kujirai in live action. Hajime Kudô will be dubbed by Tomokazu Sugita in the anime, and played by Koshi Mizukami in the live film.

While waiting to find out more, the original manga Kowloon Generic Romance follows its merry way in Kana editions with 9 volumes. In Japan, the 10th volume will be released this Friday, October 18.
Synopsis of the manga:
The Kowloon Citadel… A labyrinth of alleys and boui-bouis… Reiko Kujiraï and Hajime Kudo are two real estate agents in their thirties who crisscross this tangle of concrete.
The beginnings of a romance seem to be brewing between them… But is it really the beginning? How come, in the photo Reiko found, she and Hajime seem much closer than they are now?
And is the Kowloon Citadel doomed to disappear in the face of the futuristic buildings under construction above their heads: Generic Terra?
