Gadoury and her partner Dominique Lajeunesse, owners of Les Productions ExploreNaDoom, present their first feature film entitled “Au fil de l’eau”, a captivating travel film about the Netherlands.

This 90-minute documentary, produced in collaboration with Les Aventuriers Voyageurs, will be broadcast in 55 cinemas in Quebec. The big premiere is scheduled for this Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Beloeil cinema.

The two directors are from Saint-Liguori.

A colorful and diverse exploration

In interview with monjoliette.comNancy Gadoury describes her experience in the Netherlands as a fascinating mix of heritage and modernity: “The Netherlands is a great country to visit. The landscapes are really different from one place to another. For example, Amsterdam is a superb city, there is both a heritage side through the architecture and also a very advanced side in everything that is clean technologies.”

Water as a common thread

The title “Au fil de l’eau” is not chosen at random. Nancy explains: “The original Netherlands in medieval times was about half overgrown with water, a lot of it was marshland. To create cities, the population had to drain the land. This constant struggle against water has shaped the country, creating a complex network of canals and dikes.

A film about travel and learning

“Au fil de l’eau” is not just a simple travel film. Nancy specifies: “The objective was first of all to make a travel film. But you will also learn lots of things. At the same time as traveling to help you discover the Netherlands and the different places in the country, we also talk about how the country developed, the history of the country.”

Dissemination and meetings with the public

Screenings are planned in the Lanaudière region, notably at the Cinéma RGFM in Joliette on October 23 and November 3, 2024, as well as at the Cinéma Triomphe in Terrebonne on October 20 and 30, 20241.
