Galactus’ Bar #272: The Franchise – The Wild Robot

Welcome to the Galactus bar: every Monday, a new page is at your disposal to discuss cinema, television and comics in the broad sense, far from the Marvel and DC Comics universes!

This almost smacks of experience on the part of Warner Bros. Discovery… The Franchisea comedy series that follows the chaotic filming of a superhero movie, has just landed on HBO/Max. In front of Sam Mendes’ camera, we notably find Aya Cash (Stormfront), Daniel Brühl (Baron Zemo) and Richard E. Grant (Classic Loki). The intention is laudable, but deep down, I believe that people are asking for one thing above all… a behind-the-scenes documentary series on the DCEU! In a completely different register, The Wild Robot comes out this Wednesday in cinemas. Preceded by excellent reviews, the final film produced internally by DreamWorks Animation is the adaptation of a novel of the same name by Peter Brown. Anyone know? And above all, what have you seen/read/drank lately? On your keyboards and have a great week everyone!

A hopeful team finds themselves stuck in the dysfunctional, mindless, yet joyful hell of superhero movie sets.
